She was the daughter of the late Raymond Lester and Noxie Long Groce. Her husband, William "Buck" White, survives. She leaves two direct and two step living descendants.

Joyce Groce White age 72 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, after an illness.

Funeral service will be Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 2pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery. The family requests visitation after 1pmCT, on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Joyce Groce White, 72, Cumberland County, KY (1944-2016)

Joyce was born on April 10, 1944 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Lester and Noxie Long Groce. She died Thursday, April 21, 2016, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 72 years, 11 months.

She was a former employee of Bob Evans, Cumberland Valley Manor, and the Cumberland County Board of Education. She was a member of Spears Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Fred and Eunice White; sisters-in-law, Grace (and Randall) Long, and Margaret (and Hill) Smith.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband: William "Buck" White of Burkesville, KY

  • One daughter: Stacey White of Burkesville, KY

  • One grandson: Chase Evan Anderson of Burkesville, KY

  • One step son: Ricky White of Naples, FL

  • One step daughter: Tyla White of Smiths Grove, KY

  • Four brothers: Bruce (and Nancy) Groce, Luther (and Linda) Groce, and Stephen Groce, all of Burkesville, KY; and Ricky (and Marie) Groce of Celina, TN

  • Brother-in-law: Donnie (and Deborah) White of Temple Hill, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
