Men's Tennis student-athletes earn Academic All-MSC honors By Charlie Balcom Five student-athletes on the Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team earned Academic All Mid-South Conference honors, the conference office announced on Thursday. Ignacio Huertas, Raul Mendez, Isaac Allen, Mackenzie Montgomery and Joshua Finley each received the academic award. Mendez earns his third-consecutive conference honor, while Finley and Huertas both earn their second. The Blue Raiders are five of 24 student-athletes across the conference to receive the award. In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status. Pikeville (Ky.) produced the most men's tennis honorees in the Mid-South with six. Lindsey Wilson is second with five award recipients. This story was posted on 2016-04-21 18:25:15
