TAG students leading and sharing in ACCEL Academy Click headline for story with photos. By Shamarie Harper Adair County Schools Media - PR/Technology Resourse Teacher/Migrant Recruiter Candice Flatt is exceeding all expectations with her leadership of the Adair County Schools Gifted and Talented Program. Her new high school program called Adair County Creative Exceptional Leaders or ACCEL Academy is bringing the program to new heights. The core idea is for the identified gifted high school students to expand their horizons by being leaders in their areas of giftedness and to share their love and passion for education with others with similar interests. Chassidy Bryant and Elizabeth Spoon taught a art lesson to 4th and 5th grade students using the elements of art. They have displayed their students work with a sign about their academy in the lobby of the Adair County High School. Both girls loved sharing their passion with the younger students. And we're very proud to show off their students work. Since the ACCEL Students have returned from Spring Break they have been teaching on the "Magic School Bus" lessons connected to their areas of exception and will be hosting the Exploring Gifts and Talents Day - a festival of learning for the talent pool students at ACPC on April 28th. Mrs. Flatt has done a great job with manifesting her vision for the Gifted and Talented Program in Adair County Schools. And her students have excelled and been active in the process. We know the ACCEL Academy will be a thriving supplement to our gifted students academic careers for years to come. This story was posted on 2016-04-21 14:39:19
