She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, the time of her death there. She was the daughter of the late Frank Wheelerand Ruby Bennett Jones. She leaves nine direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in her native Adair County.

Barbara Baker, 68, of Russell Springs, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs after several weeks illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Ronnie Rhodes the officiating clergy. Interment in the Antioch Cemetery, by Antioch United Methodist Church, 3422 Wheeler Hill Road, Sparksville, KY. The family request visiting after 3:30pmCT on Friday, April 22, 2016, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Brandon Baker, Brent Baker, Logan Baker, John Osborne, Chris Poff, and Byron Rodgers.

She was born March 19, 1948 in Adair County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Frank Wheeler and Ruby Bennett Jones. She died Monday, April 18, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 68 years, 30 days.

Mrs. Baker is survived by:
  • Two sons: Tommy Baker of Chicago, IL; and Kirt Baker and wife Linda, of Stillwater, OK

  • Two sisters: Wanda Kimbler of Russell Springs, KY; and Bonita Sneed of Edinburg, Indiana

  • Six grandchildren

  • One great grandchild

  • Her longtime companion: Paul E. Krage of Russell Springs, KY
