Cassidy Scantland earns her seventh career MSC Golfer of the Week honor

COLUMBIA, KY - For the second time this season, Campbellsville's Cassidy Scantland has earned the honor of Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Week, officials announced on Monday.

Scantland, a junior from Greensburg, KY, adds to her career mark which now sits at seven Player of the Week honors.



This past week, Scantland won her 10th and 11th career tournaments. She outpaced the field at the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament with a 152 (73-79) and then shot identical 75s (150) at the UPIKE Spring Invitational, which was best in the 47-women field.

Scantland keeps adding to her program record of now 11 career wins. In 16 rounds this season, Scantland averages a 76.4 with her season low of one-under 71 coming at the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament at Elk’s Country Club in McDermott, Ohio.

She has now won the MSC Fall and Spring Tournaments for the second time in her career – the first came in 2013-14 when she went on the win the MSC Championship and be named Freshman and Player of the Year.
