She was the daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Elizabeth Wethington Sexton and the widow of Alvin Edgar Karnes, her husband of 19 years. She leaves 51 direct living descendants spanning four generations. Funeral services will be conducted at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Monday, April 11, 2016, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with burial to follow in Lebanon National Cemetery, Lebanon. The family requests visitation from 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, April 10, 2016. at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY. Lillie Belle Karnes, Taylor Co., KY (1920-2016) Born on August 14, 1920 in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Elizabeth Wethington Sexton. She died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, in Greenwood, MS, at the age of 95 years, seven months, and 23 days. On December 10, 1938 she married Alvin Edgar Karnes who preceded her in death on May 30, 1960. In addition to her parents and husband, Lillie was preceded in death by her children, Rosemary Dotson, William "Billy" Karnes, Bobby Karnes and Alfred Karnes; a brother James Sexton; two grandchildren; a niece, Joyce Karnes Sneed and nephew, Clemmie Karnes.
