He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of Monroe County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Arthur and Bernice Harvey Murley. His wife of 54 years, Melba Brown Murley, survives. He leaves 11 direct living descendants. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 2pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Brother Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2016, from 2pmCT-8pmCT, and after 7amCT, on Tuesday, until time of services.
