Cassidy Scantland earns her 6th MSC Golfer of the Week honor By Jordan Alves CU sports information director Campbellsville University golfer Cassidy Scantland, a graduate of Green Co. High School, earned the Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Week honor, officials announced on Monday. The honor is the first of the season for Scantland and the sixth of her career. Scantland finished second in the 46-woman field at the Cumberland University Phoenix Invitational. The Top 5 finish was her fifth of the season six tournaments dating back to the fall. She carded a 10-over par 154 over the two days to finish three shots back of the winning score. The first-round 74 was the second lowest round of the tournament and then closed with an 8-over par 80 to finish runner-up. Scantland helped the Lady Tigers to a second-place team finish, including the best finish of the NAIA teams. This story was posted on 2016-03-29 12:39:58
