KSP arrests Metcalfe Countian for solicitation for murder

Kentucky State Police worked on Tip from Nashville Metro Police that 49-year-old Edmonton man was attempting to hire someone ot murder another individual.
Issuance of warrants and/or arrests are not findings of guilt. An individual charged by police or in a warrant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

GLASGOW, KY (10:40amCT, 29 Mar 2016) – Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations West Branch assisted Kentucky State Police Post 15 with a Solicitation of Murder investigation in Barren County.



Detectives received information from Nashville Metro Police Department’s Major Crime Unit that Kevin Scott Gentry, 49, of Edmonton, KY, was attempting to hire someone to murder another individual.

KSP arranged a meeting with undercover KSP Detectives and Gentry provided money for the act and information about the potential victim.

After the meeting concluded, Gentry was arrested and charged with Solicitation of Murder and lodged in the Barren County Jail. The investigation is ongoing and no further details can be released at this time.
