Hallmon and Mobley get MSC Men's Track & Field athlete honors By Charlie Balcom Lindsey Wilson's Kevin Hallmon is the Mid-South Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week, while Desmond Mobley is the MSC Field Athlete of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday. It marks the first time Hallmon and Mobley have collected the conference honor in their careers. Hallmon posted three top-five finishes at the Shorter Invitational this past weekend to earn MSC Track Athlete of the Week honors. The freshman from Hinesville, Georgia finished in second place in the 100 and 200 meter dash events with times of 10.76 and 21.85 seconds, respectively. Hallmon also competed on the 4x100 meter relay team, where his team finished in 41.49 seconds in fourth place, hitting the national "A" standard along with setting a new school record in the event. Mobley won an event and finished second in two events over the weekend at the Shorter Invitational. The sophomore from Rochester, New York won the long jump with a distance of 6.96 meters, which bested 13 other competitors. In the high jump, he finished second with a height of 1.95 meters and he also finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 13.38 meters. This story was posted on 2016-03-29 09:38:28
