KTC District 3 traffic impact report, March 21-25

District 3 includes Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, Todd, Warren Counties

Metcalfe County

KY 496 Green Valley Road - Crews will continue working on a guardrail repair project on Green Valley Roadbetween Green Tree Road and Charter Creek-Subtle RoadFlaggers will be present to maintain traffic through the work zone.


Interstate 65 in TENNESSEE

Saturday, March 19, midnight to noon- I-65 northbound will be reduced to two lanes from just north of the Briley Parkway interchange (MM 91) to Old Hickory Boulevard (MM 92).

Saturday, March 19 7 am- Traffic on I-65 in both directions from Old Hickory Boulevard to Briley Parkway will be temporarily stopped during blasting operations.

Saturday, March 19 noon to 5 pm.- I-65 northbound will continue to have 1-2 lanes closed until crews complete clearing material and equipment from the roadway.

Allen County

West Old State Road - Construction began on February 22 for a new bridge on West Old State Road over Lancaster Branch Creek in Allen CountyOne lane of traffic will kept open during the construction processHowever, there will be a signed detour route utilizing US 231, US 31E, KY 100 and KY 585.

For March 30- West Old State Road will be completely closed at the bridge over Lancaster Branch on March 30 from 6 a.mto 4 p.mwhile beams are installed for the new bridgeA signed detour is in place to get motorists around the closureThe detour utilizes US 231, US 31-E, KY 100 and KY 585.

One lane has been kept opened for the duration of the project, but because of the beam install it is necessary to close the entire bridge on that date and time.

Barren County

KY 2189 Glasgow Park City Road - Contractors will continue replacing pipes as part of a roadway safety enhancement project that will improve roadside features from US 31-W to US 68Flaggers will be present to maintain traffic through the work.

Butler County

US 231 Beaver Dam Road- Will have one lane closed on the bridge at mile point 16.34The lane closure will utilize traffic control signals to control alternating traffic across the bridgeThe maximum width of the lane used by traffic will be 12 feet with a 40 ton weight limitMotorists should use caution while traveling through this work zone.

Logan County

West Second Street- West Second Street in Russellville is closed for the replacement of the bridge over Town BranchThe road closure is anticipated to last until the middle of April

A signed detour will be in place and will utilize NMain Street, W4th Street, and Bethel Street.

Simpson County

US 31-W- Crews will be present but out of the roadwayUtility relocation work will continue to as part of the widening project between I-65 and Lowes on US 31-W.

KY 664- A bridge project on KY 664 in Simpson County closed a section of the road and created a detourThe project is to replace the existing bridge over Johnson CreekThe closure began on February 23 and expected to last approximately 50 calendar days.

The detour will utilize KY 665, KY 100 and Simpson County Road Neoshed RoadAccess to KY 1885 from KY 664 will be permitted for the duration of the project.

Robey Bethel Grove Road-Robey Bethel Grove Road closed on February 17 for a bridge replacement projectA new bridge similar to the old bridge will be built with two 11' foot lanesThe detour will utilize KY 100, KY 103 and Simpson County Road Neely RoadThe closure will last approximately 50 calendar days.
