News from Campbellsville Independent School District

A group of Campbellsville Middle School students attended Campbellsville City Council's meeting on Monday, March 14.

The students led Council members and the audience in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

Campbellsville Mayor Tony Young gave each of the students, who have been studying government in Jessica Lile’s social studies classes, a pin featuring the city’s seal.

After the meeting, Young spoke to the students about his job as mayor. CMS fifth-graders have been studying the different branches of government, and what powers they have. They have also studied how governmental bodies conduct business during meetings.
