Two vehicle collision attributed to mechanical malfunction

On Monday, February 29, 2016 at approximately 2:58pmCT, the Campbellsville Police Department responded to a collision at the intersection of KY 210 and Forest Hills Drive.



A 1992 Honda being operated by 21 year old Tyler Nichols of Campbellsville, KY, was traveling north on KY 210 near the intersection with Forest Hills Drive. As Nichols attempted to make a right turn onto Forest Hills Drive he experienced a mechanical malfunction with his vehicle.

Nichols was unable to make the turn and struck a 2013 GMC Sierra being operated by 33 year old Brandon Carmicle of Campbellsville that was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Forest Hills Drive/KY 210.

Neither operator was injured during the collision, but a passenger in the Nichols' vehicle, 20 year old Ashley Lanham of Campbellsville was transported to TRH for treatment of possible injuries.
