Jenna Claywell wins 1st place in Statewide competition Photo accompanies full article By Patty Jones, Principal, Adair County Primary Center Jenna Claywell, daughter of Misty Claywell and Justin Claywell, competed in the National Braille Challenge on February, 18, 2016. The competition took place at the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville, KY. Awards were presented at the American Publishing House in Louisville, where all the educational materials for the blind are printed. Jenna is a 2nd grade students in Mrs. Sarah O'Neal's classroom at Adair County Primary Center. She competed in her grade level and received 1st place. The 10 highest scores in the country till travel to Los Angeles, CA in June to compete in the finals. The Braille Challenge is a national program of the Braille Institute of America, designed to challenge the skills of students across America in areas such as braille reading and comprehension, speed and accuracy, spelling, proofreading and tactile graphics.
