Casey Co., KY Collision takes life of 21-year-old Dunnville woman

Tragic accident occurs near Liberty, KY on KY 70 at intersection with US 127. Driver of one vehicle prounounced dead at Casey County. All three occupants of second vehicle uninjured. Hospital.

LIBERTY, KY (Sun 21 Feb 2016) - Tpr. Adam Likins is investigating a collision that occurred Saturday, February 20, 2016 at approximately 7:26pmCT, at the intersection of KY 70 and US 127.



21-year-old Amber Sanders, of Dunnville, KY, was operating an eastbound 2002 Chevy Cavalier on KY 70, west of Liberty, when she failed to stop at the intersection of US 127. Her vehicle traveled into the path of a 2011 Chevy Suburban traveling south on US 127. The Suburban, operated by 40-year-old Steven Faulkner, of Pleasureville, KY, struck the Cavalier in the driver's side.

Amber Sanders was transported to Casey County Hospital where she was pronounced dead. A passenger, Sanders 1-year-old daughter, was transported by EMS to University of Kentucky Hospital as a precaution for minor injuries. Amber Sanders was not belted.

The driver of the other vehicles and 2 passengers were all wearing seat belts and were not injured.

KSP were assisted at the scene by the Liberty Police Department, Fire Department and Casey County EMS.
