Senior Day activities start before the game.Click on headline for story with linked photo By Mallory Vest, CU Sports Information CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (Thu 18 Feb 2016) -- In one of the most anticipated games on the home schedule, No. 4 Campbellsville returned to Powell Athletic Center but No. 22 Lindsey Wilson College stunned the Lady Tigers, 73-65. Campbellsville hit just 28 percent from the floor, 12 percent from 3-point range and was out-rebounded 50-33 in its second consecutive defeat. CU hasn't lost back-to-back games since February 7 and February 9, 2013, to Cumberland University and University of the Cumberlands, both on the road. Campbellsville (22-6, 9-4 MSC) traded baskets with Lindsey Wilson (21-5, 7-4 MSC) in the first quarter until the Blue Raiders used recently-eligible transfer Kayla Styles to spark a 12-0 run, jumping to an 18-8 lead over CU. The Lady Tigers did not see another lead, and Styles finished with her first double-double of the season, with 14 points and 13 rebounds. The Lady Tigers faced their largest deficit of the season as the Blue Raiders widened the lead to 18 points by the 1:18 mark in the third quarter. Campbellsville had never been down by more than 14 this season, which came on November 28 to Lyon College. At the end of the third, a steal and a layup from LeAnn Grider, plus a basket in the paint from Lindsey Burd closed the gap to just 12 points, 57-45 and brought the packed Powell Athletic Center crowd to its feet. With just over four minutes left, the Lady Tigers grabbed three of their own misses and Burd was finally able to finish under the basket, cutting the lead to single digits for the first time since the first play of the second half. Burd, the reigning MSC Player of the Week, recorded her ninth double-double of the season, finishing with 18 points 10 rebounds. CU had one more push late, as Emily Fox's only triple of the night brought the Lady Tigers within eight points, 68-60, with three minutes left to play. Grider hit CU's only other threes of the night and led all scorers with 19 points. She also finished the night with three assists and three steals. Lindsey Wilson gave Campbellsville a chance late by missing six free throws in the final 1:20 but the Lady Tigers were unable to make another run. The Blue Raiders finished hitting 50 percent from the floor and scored 19 second chance points off of 21 offensive rebounds.
