Shirl Moore: In eight years, has learned influence of bootleggers

Will vote Yes on March 22

By Shirl Moore
Personal Commentary

I have lived in Adair County for 8 years.

In that time I have learned how much influence the bootlegger holds over the community.

In my little neighborhood, his establishment is well represented, proving that those who drink are still going to get it somewhere.

My somewhere, unfortunately, is out of county.

I refuse to support the illegal sales of alcohol that does nothing to support the economy of Adair County.

I believe a YES vote will show those that may be looking into investing in our area that we want to progress and change.

Somerset is a good example of good growth and change.

The doom and gloom strip joints that people predicted did not happen.

Russell Springs has followed suit and I expect good things to happen there as well.

With Russell Springs' close proximity, Adair County is going to be losing revenue to them.

I am voting YES on March 22.
