Mrs. Norma G. Smith, 64, of Campbellsville, KY departed this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Smith on Friday, February 5, 2016, at 11amCT/12pmET, at the Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Memorial Gardens Dr, Louisville, KY 40216. The Rev. Don Hill will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY, 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Thursday, February 4, 2016.

Mrs. Norma G. Smith of Campbellsville, KY, was born on Saturday, February 10, 1951. She was the daughter of Mrs. Betty Singleton, who survives, and the late Benjamin Sapp, Sr. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, at the age of 64 years, 11 months, and 23 days of age.

She was the lifetime companion and wife of Mr. James "Butch" Smith, who survives. Before her illness, Mrs. Smith was a well-regarded cook and shared her talents at numerous restaurants. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

She leaves to mourn her passing:
  • Her husband: Mr. James "Butch" Smith of Campbellsville, KY

  • Her mother: Mrs. Betty Thompson Singleton of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother: Mr. Benjamin Sapp, Jr. and wife Holly of Jeffersonville, IN

  • A close family friend: Mr. David Wells of Campbellsville, KY

  • And a host of other extended family and friends
She was also preceded in death by a brother, David Sapp.
