Marshall Dial, 64, Adair County, KY (1951-2016)

He had earned a special place among Adair Countians with his quiet, gentle manner, his solid work ethic, and for his role protecting the environment. Columbians are the better for his life here. He will be greatly missed. He was a native of Adair County, KY, a resident at the time of his death, and will be laid to rest in Columbia Cemetery here. He was the son of the late Clyde and Janie Crawhorn Dial. He attended My Father's House Church.

Marshall Dial, 64, of Columbia, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 5:46pmCT, at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral service, Monday, February 1, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 3:30pmCT, Sunday, January 31, 2016. Marshall's nephews will serve as casket bearers.

He was born February 20, 1951, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Clyde & Janie Crawhorn Dial. He died Thursday, January 28, 2016, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 64 years, 11 months, and eight days.

He attended My Father's House Church.

Survivors include:
  • Four brothers: Charles, William & James Dial all of Columbia, KY; and Mitchell Dial, Columbus, IN

  • One sister: Martha Matney of Columbia, KY

  • Special friends & caregiver: Elsie Burton & family

  • Several nieces & nephews
