Mrs. Kathryn K. (Kirby) Story, Las Cruces, NM (1948-2016)

She and her husband were residents of Las Cruces, New Mexico and were in Campbellsville visiting family at the time of her passing. Mrs. Story was a life-long artist and held a Master's of Arts degree. She professed faith in Christ at an early age and was of the Lutheran faith. Her husband of 35 years, Thomas Story, survives.

Mrs. Kathryn K. (Kirby) Story departed this life at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY, on Saturday, January 16, 2016.

Cremation rites were accorded her by the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, Kentucky. There was no public visitation. A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later date by the family.



Mrs. Kathryn K. (Kirby) Story, Las Cruces, NM (1948-2016)

Mrs. Kathryn K. (Kirby) Story was born in Michigan City, Indiana on June 29, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Doris (Ney) Kirby. She departed this life at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, on January 16, 2016, being 67 years, 6 months, and 18 days of age.

She and her husband were residents of Las Cruces, New Mexico and were in Campbellsville, KY, visiting family at the time of her passing.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
  • Her husband of 35 years: Thomas Story

  • Three children: Seth Frazier of Phoenix, Arizona; Caleb Story of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Jacob Story of Minnesota

  • Two sisters: June Kirby of Arizona, and Sandy Evans of Illinois

  • And a host of extended family and close friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Kirby.
