Mildred (Millie) Wright Milby, Green Co., KY 1929-2016)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was a seamstress for the former American Needle Craft, was employed with Clark Casual and was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Sam Wrightand Virgie Berry Wright. She was the widow of Clell Milby, her husband of over 54 years. She leaves 27 direct living descendants.

Mrs. Mildred "Millie" Wright Milby of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Sam Wright and Virgie Berry Wright, was born on March 24, 1929 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at her home in Greensburg. She was 86 years, 9 months, and 21 days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Mildred "Millie" Wright Milby will be conducted at 2pmCT, Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Scott Coates, and Bro. Jon Hargan will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3pmCT until 8pmCT, Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Sunday until time of the funeral service. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mildred "Millie" Wright Milby of Greensburg, Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Sam Wright and Virgie Berry Wright, was born on March 24, 1929 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at her home in Greensburg, Green County, KY. She was 86 years, 9 months, and 21 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was a seamstress for the former American Needle Craft, was employed with Clark Casual and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Milby united in marriage to Holland Clell Milby on October 2, 1946 who preceded her in death on January 6, 2005.

Survivors include:
  • Three daughters and two sons-in-law: Gayle Jones of Glasgow, Carol and Bill Hargan of Greensburg, KY; and Marilyn and Timmy Jones of Center, KY

  • Two sons and daughters-in-law: Fredy and Allene Milby, and Randy and Phyllis Milby all of Greensburg, KY

  • Eight grandchildren: Mark Milby, Jason Milby, Charity Ferguson, Tabitha Ervin, Jonathon Hargan, Sammy Stotts, David Stotts, and Hunter Jones

  • Thirteen great-grandchildren

  • One great-great-grandchild

  • Two sisters: Betty Reynolds of Greensburg, KY; and Mamie Beard of Knifley, KY
  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Milby was also preceded in death by a son: Michael Milby in 1952; and a son-in-law: Mitchell Jones in 2011.
