Tim Lee Carter Cain, 75, Glasgow, KY (1940-2016)

He was a truck driver. He was a native of Monroe County, KY, and a resident of Barren Co., KY at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Marion Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Grider Cain, Sr. His wife, Peggy Kingrey Cain, survives. He leaves 17 direct living descendants.

Tim Lee Carter Cain, age 75 of Glasgow, KY, died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 3pmCT at the Union #2 Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, January 15, 2016 from 2pm-8pmCT and on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 7am-9pmCT, and on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 8am-12pmCt, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade, KY, then after 12:30pmCT until funeral time at the Union #2 Church.

Tim Lee Carter Cain, was born September 11, 1940 at Turkey Neck Bend, KY. He was the son of the late Marion Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Grider Cain Sr. He died Thursday, January 14, 2016, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 75 years, four months, and three days.

He was the husband of Peggy Kingrey Cain, who survives.

He was a truck driver.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include:
  • Three daughters: Mary Lee (Willie) England, and Jennifer (Joey) Cardwell of Glasgow, KY; and Christie Cain of Texas

  • Two sons: Robin Reneau of Summer Shade, KY; and Darrin Cain of Louisville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Desire' (Kevin) Davis, B.J. Reneau, Bailey Reneau, Katelyne Stinnett, William Daniel Delbert England, Mike (Barb) Cardwell, and Joe Cardwell

  • Four great grandchildren: Jace Norris Tyler (Callie) Cardwell, Jared Cardwell and Haylee Cardwell

  • One great great grandchild: Maya Cardwell

  • Two sisters: Elizabeth (Jimmy) Taylor, Gamaliel, KY; and Jessie (Pete) Tropoulas Frankfort, KY

  • Two brothers: Junior (Marsha) Cain Tompkinsville, KY; and Carmon (Phyllis) Cain of Indianapolis, IN
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by four sisters, Louise Graves, Dean Groce, Sarah Kerr and Judy Bryant; and brother Kenneth Cain; and two sisters in law, Juanita Cain and Alice Cain.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Union #2 cemetery.
