CHS to honor 1966 boys' basketball team

Campbellsville High School will honor its 1966 boys' basketball team on Friday, Feb. 5, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the team winning the fifth region basketball tournament. The CHS girls' and boys' teams will play Adair County that night, starting at 6pmET.

A reception for the 1966 team will begin in the Campbellsville Middle School multipurpose room at 6:30pmET

The 1966 team will be recognized during halftime of the boys' game, which will begin after the girls' matchup concludes.

Team members included Ronnie Scott, Johnny Spaulding, Larry Wells, B.D. Thompson, Bill Meader, Larry "Corn" Benningfield, Mike Underwood, Ken Shively, Guy Colson, Tommy Barnes, Bobby Benningfield and John Dunlap.
