He was a native of Casey County, KY, the son of the ate Robert and Eula Hamiton Collins. He was the widower of Iva Louise Tedder Collins. He was an Army veteran and a factory worker. Donald was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church. He enjoyed fishing.

Donald Collins, of Junction City, KY passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation. He was 84.

Funeral services are 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Friday, January 15, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Vola Brown and Bro. Bud Stidham officiating. Burial will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard. Visitation is Friday from 10amCT/11amET until funeral service.



Donald Collins, 84, Junction City, KY (1931-2016)


Born August 27, 1931 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Robert and Eula Hamilton Collins. He died Wednesday, January 13, 2016, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 84 years, four months, and 17 days.

He was an Army veteran and a factory worker. Donald was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church. He enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include:
  • A step-daughter: Peggy Jean Purvis

  • Two step-sons: Darrell and Terry Lee Phillips

  • And sister: Maxine (and Harlan) Lane of Hustonville, KY
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Louise Tedder Collins, who passed away October 2, 2002; two brothers, Luther and Milford Collins; and three sisters, Irene Douglas, Iva Dean Collins, and Lorene Thomas.
