I-65 crash results in death of Old Hickory, TN woman For unknown reasons, driver loses control of 2000 GMC pickup, causing it to leave roadway and strike a rock wall. 59 year old passenger pronounced dead at the scene by LaRue County Coroner By Tpr Jeffrey Gregory, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Police Post 4, Elizabethtown, KY UPTON, KY (Wed 13 Jan 2016) - Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown worked a fatality accident just North of Upton on I-65 Tuesday afternoon. On January 12, 2016 at approximately 2:36pmET, Michael A. Williams (69) of Old Hickory, TN, was traveling South on I-65 at the 77 mile marker in a 2000 GMC pickup. For unknown reasons he lost control of his vehicle causing it to leave the roadway and strike a rock wall. Deborah L. Williams (59) of Old Hickory, TN was a passenger in the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the LaRue Co. Coroner. Mr. Williams was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Airmethods with nonlife threatening injuries. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Upton Fire Dept, Hardin Co. EMS, Airmethods, and the LaRue Co. Coroner. This story was posted on 2016-01-13 11:37:21
