Dorothy Shearer Yates, Adair native, Edmonton, KY (1941-2015) She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident Metcalfe County, KY, at the time of her death in Barren County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Bryant Shearer and Cittie Shearer. Her husband of over 53 years, Tommy Yates, survives. A memorial service for Mrs. Yates will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 1pmCT, at the Greensburg Christian Church 215 Brummal Ave. Greensburg, KY. The Adair Co. native was born in Bryan KY. (Russell County) on November 23, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Bryant Shearer and Cittie Shearer and graduated from this life on Friday, January 8, 2016 at T J Samson Hospital in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 74 years, one months, and 16 days. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and loved her family, reading her bible, red roses, old westerns, classic movies, gospel music (her favorite is The Old Rugged Cross), her dog Little Girl, dolls, seek and find books and loved coconut cake. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of over 53 years, Isaac Thomas "Tommy" Yates of Edmonton, KY, having united in marriage on July 21, 1962. Other survivors include:
