Arthur (Art) Bean, Glensfork, KY (1937-2016)

He was a member of a large, respected South Adair County, KY, family. He was retired after a career as a stone crusher operator in Connecticut. His wife, patricia Edna Jacocks Bean, survives. He leaves 28 direct living descendants.

Arthur "Art" Leslie Bean of Glensfork, KY passed away Sunday January 3, 2016 at 5:43pmET, at UK Chandler Medical Center at Lexington, KY.

Cremation has been chosen by the family and memorial services will be held at a later date.



Arthur (Art) Bean, Glensfork, KY (1937-2016)

He was born on September 11, 1937 in New Haven, Connecticut. He died Sunday, January 3, 2016, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 78 years, three months, and 23 days.

He was preceded in death by one son, Eric Lisle.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Edna Jacocks Bean, of Glensfork, KY, and the following:
  • Four sons: Scott (Darlene) Lisle of Old Saybrook, CT; Wayne (Beth) Bean of Steep Falls, MA; Roy (Tammy) Bean of East Lyme, CT; & Jeffrey Bean of Portland, CT

  • Four daughters: Jodi (Mike) Irvin of Columbia, KY; Wendy Bean of Portland, CT; Tricia Bean of Glensfork, KY; & Melissa (Sean) Townsend of Lexington, KY

  • Two brothers: Donnie (Peggy) Bean of Florida and Roger (Dolly) Bean Madison, CT

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren.
He was a retired stone crusher operator in Connecticut.
