Wendell Farris, Adair Co., KY native (1947-2015)

He was a native of Columbia, KY, and a resident of Zanesville, Ohio, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Everett and Rita Corbin Farris. Wendell retired from teaching after thirty-seven years from Franklin Local Schools. He was a member of Rolling Plains United Methodist Church.

Wendell Farris, 68 of Zanesville, passed away December 30, 2015 at Genesis Hospital. Calling hours will be held 3pm-6pmCT/4pm-7pmET, Sunday, January 3, 2016 and 9am-10amCT/10am-11amET, Monday, January 4, 2015 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, 56 S 5th Street, Zanesville, Ohio, where services will be held Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10amCT/11amET. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.



Wendell Farris, Adair Co., KY native (1947-2015)

He was born April 20, 1947 in Columbia, Adair County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Everett and Rita Corbin Farris. He died Thursday, December 30, 2015 in Ohio, at the age of 68 years, eight months, and 10 days.

Wendell retired from teaching after thirty-seven years from Franklin Local Schools. He was a member of Rolling Plains United Methodist Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • His son: Justin (Lisa) Farris, of Philo, Ohio

  • Brother: Jimmie (Patricia) Farris, of Kentucky; and sister, Barbara Jean (Keith) Walker, of Kentucky

  • Grandchildren: Austin Farris, Alexis Farris and Ashton Farris

  • In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Rath Farris and siblings, Ralph and Mildred.
