Basketball: LWC faces Saint Mary-of-the-Woods 22 Dec 2015 By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team continues its string of non-conference matchups as the Blue Raiders host Saint Mary-of-the-Woods IN on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at 1pmCT at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. Lindsey Wilson (11-2) enters the day after a 59-50 win on the road at Coastal Georgia on Saturday. The Blue Raiders turned a one-point halftime deficit into a nine-point victory after outscoring Coastal Georgia by 10 points in the third quarter to help pull away. The Blue Raiders have won five straight and 11 of their last 12 games on the year. Both Chanel Roberts and Teanna Curry are averaging a team-high 14.8 points per game this season. Kayla Richardson is also averaging double figures with 12.5 points per contest. Lindsey Wilson has been efficient on the offensive end of the floor as the Blue Raiders rank No. 5 in NAIA Division I in field-goal percentage (47.0) and No. 6 in scoring offense per game (80.4). Saint Mary-of-the-Woods (5-6) enters the contest coming off a 104-84 loss to Rose-Hulman (IN) on Friday. The Pomeroys have dropped their three previous games on the year. Callan Taylor leads the team with 13.7 points per game. Shelby Palmer (12.6), Grace Ziegler (11.9) and Tara Parmer (11.4) join Taylor in double-digit averages on the year.
