Cincinnati Christian 75. 19 Dec 2015 Lindsey Wilson Men's Basketball falls 75-63 to Cincinnati Christian in CCU Holiday Tournament finals Next: Lindsey Wilson Men's Basketball hosts Martin Methodist, at 7pmCT, Wed 30 Dec 2015, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY By Chris Wells COLUMBIA, KY (19 Dec 2015) - Lindsey Wilson men's basketball lost to host Cincinnati Christian (Ohio) 75-63 today in the finals of the Cincinnati Christian Holiday Tournament. The Eagles (7-3) used red-hot shooting in the first half to build as much as an 18-point lead. The two teams exchanged runs in the second half, but ultimately played even en route to the 12-point Cincinnati Christian win. Lindsey Wilson (10-3) enjoyed a lead through the midway point of the first half. The Eagles used a 25-4 run during a nine-minute span to seize a 36-18 advantage with 2:27 left in the first half. During the run, Lindsey Wilson made just 2-of-11 shots and committed five turnovers. Lindsey Wilson showed signs of a comeback over the final two minutes of the opening half. Bryan Wallace hit a 3-pointer and Hannes Erhardt added a basket and a free throw and Dmitry Utolin connected from the field to spearhead an 8-2 spurt to get the Blue Raiders within 12 (38-26) at the break. Cincinnati Christian answered the Lindsey Wilson run in the early stages of the second half. The Eagles scored 11 of the half's first 15 points to take their largest lead of the game (49-30). Lindsey Wilson managed to cut the deficit to seven on three different occasions before the Eagles closed out the 75-63 win. Wallace led the Blue Raiders with 20 points while Utolin added 15 and Erhardt 11. DJ McCommons led four Eagles in doubles figures with 17 points.
