Vehicle heavily damaged in vehicle/deer collision

Driver uninjured. Traffic briefly halted until roadway could be cleared

The Adair Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle collision late Saturday night on December 12, 2015, on KY 80/Russell Road. Accident occurred when 19 year old Dylon Keith swerved to miss a deer while operating a 2000 Buick westbound while headed home.



Keith lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway striking a utility pole, splitting it in half and leaving a wire across the roadway.

Keith was uninjured at the scene but vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.

Traffic was briefly halted until roadway could be cleared. Deputy Adam Cravens investigated the collision. He was assisted on scene by Sgt Tracy McCarol of Columbia Police Department. - Adam Cravens, the writer, is an Adair County Sheriff's Office Deputy Sheriff
