ORANGE BEACH, AL - Lindsey Wilson women's soccer scored twice over a two-minute span in the first half and never looked back in a 5-0 win over Kansas Wesleyan on Monday in the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship's Second Round at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.

The No. 1-seeded Blue Raiders (18-1-2) advance to Wednesday's national quarterfinals against the winner of eighth-seeded Westmont (Calif.) and ninth-seeded Grace (IN).

Lindsey Wilson controlled the majority of the offensive play en route to out-shooting the Coyotes (14-5-2) 18-4, including 10-1 in shots on goal.

Lyana Perez found the back of the net twice and Carola Schneider scored her first goal of the season to help Lindsey Wilson win its seventh straight national tournament game. The defending national champions improve to 38-13-2 all-time in the national tournament, including 13-2 in the round of 16.

Lindsey Wilson's Isobel Dalton and Amanda Kander scored one minute and 45 seconds apart in the 17th and 18th minutes to give the Blue Raiders an early 2-0 lead.

Dalton blasted in her seventh goal of the season from 20 yards out for the 1-0 lead. Emma Skaremo started the scoring play as she poked the ball back to Dalton who sent a strike over the head of three Kansas Wesleyan defenders and into the right side of the goal past diving goalkeeper Rachel Cardwell.

Kander doubled the Blue Raiders' score from point-blank range with her 11th goal of the season.

Skaremo once again orchestrated the Lindsey Wilson goal as she dribbled through traffic before playing it back to Kander who was camped just outside the six-yard box. Kander took the pass and blasted it with her left foot into a small window inside the near post for the 2-0 lead. Skaremo now has a team-high 12 assists this season.

With the Blue Raiders up 2-0, Lindsey Wilson just missed on three opportunities over the next 15 minutes to pad their lead. Kander and Shelby Austin each hit the post and Dalton was turned away by one of Cardwell's four saves during the match.

In the 32nd minute, Fabienne Rochaix and Lyana Perez hooked up to extend the Lindsey Wilson lead to 3-0. The Blue Raiders improve to a perfect 11-0 this season when scoring at least three goals in the game.

Rochaix dribbled through a pair of Coyote defenders near the end line and centered the ball to Perez who one-timed the pass into the back of the net from five yards out for the 3-0 lead.

Perez added a second goal in the game and her 17th of the season in the 56th minute to give Lindsey Wilson a 4-0 lead. Yvonne Ploeg set up the game's fourth goal with a pass from three yards deep in the penalty area onto a charging Perez just outside the box. She sent a laser to lower left of the goal for the 80th Lindsey Wilson goal of the season.

Schneider closed out the scoring in the 79th minute with a penalty kick after Delfina Santellan was fouled in the penalty area.

Johanna Henriksson and Megan Rauch combined for the Blue Raiders' 13th shutout of the season and sixth straight. Henriksson posted the lone Lindsey Wilson save in her 71 minutes of play. Rauch played the final 18:37 without facing a shot.
