Adair County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 24 Nov 2015

Indictments brought against 7 individuals, from Columbia, Albany, and Russell Springs. Charges include drunk driving, assault, receiving stolen property, rape, forgery, and manufacturing methamphetamine.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 24 November, 2015:


  • David L. Murphy (02/13/1977), Weed Sparksville Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00092. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration of or above .08 while under the influence of alcohol or other substance, aggravating circumstance present. Arraignment Jan 12, 2016 at 1pmCT.

  • Adam H. Harris (09/11/1996), Keen Wilson Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00093. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Assault, 1st degree. Bail set at $100,000 cash. Arraignment Jan 12, 2016 at 1pmCT.

  • Ricky L. Savage (11/24/1960), Concord Spur Rd., Albany, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00094. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property over $500 but under $10,000. Bail set at $2,500 c/p. Arraignment Jan 12, 2016 at 1pmCT.

  • Perry B. Bishop (10/30/1994), Christine Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00095. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Rape, 1st degree. Bail set at $50,000 cash only. Arraignment Jan 12, 2016 at 1pmCT.

  • Stephanie R. Shelton (01/19/1986), Wayne Rd., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00096. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 2 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Bail set at $2,500 c/p. Arraignment Jan 12, 2016 at 1pmCT.

  • Anthony D. Bridgewater (10/02/1956), Russell Springs Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00097. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Manufacture of methamphetamine, 1st offense. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 3 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $25,000 cash only. Arraignment Jan 12, 2016 at 1pmCT.

  • Coy D. Morrison, Jr. (12/22/1974), Jay Wheeler Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00098. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property, firearm. Count 2 - Possession of a handgun by convicted felon. Bail set at $25,000 cash. Arraignment Jan 12, 2016 at 1pmCT.

  • Coy Delane Morrison, Jr. (12/22/1974), Jay Wheeler Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00099. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Manufacture of methamphetamine, 1st offense. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 3 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bail set at $25,000 cash. Arraignment Jan 12, 2016 at 1pmCT.
