CMS students honored with leadership luncheon 'People make choices. Choices make people.' Guest speaker Daniel Cook Click on headline for story with photo By Calen McKinney, Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer Campbellsville Independent Schools Campbellsville Middle School students were honored with a luncheon on Tuesday, November 24, and learned from a youth pastor about what it takes to be a good leader. Students honored include fourth-graders Kylee Cox, Karlie Cox, Jovi Bowen and Jacob Lyons; fifth-graders Wesley Reynolds, Tonya Parker, Whitney Frashure and Leigh Hicks; sixth-graders Dalton Reardon, Kitana Taylor, Chloe Anderson and Brandon Pittman; seventh-graders Jastyn Shively, Destiny Hicks, John Orberson and Briana Pipes; and eighth-graders Shelby Hunt, Matthew Oliver, Brandi Dean and Mark Rigsby. Students named Leaders of the Week in the month of November were honored with a lunch and guest speaker youth pastor and Taylor County Deputy Coroner Daniel Cook spoke to them. Cook graduated from Caldwell County High School and attended Campbellsville University for three years. He is also a volunteer firefighter. Cook told students that they must have a good work ethic. He also said it's important that students be involved with their community and the organizations within the community. He encouraged students to always aspire to reach their goals. "Set your mind to reach your goals and you can," he said. Cook also talked to students about making good choices. "People make choices," he said. "Choices make people."
