Jessaphine Stotts, 91, Adair Co., KY native (d. 26 Nov 2015)

She was born in Breeding, KY, a member of an outstanding South Adair County, KY family. She had worked at the Army Ammunition Plant in Charleston, IN. She was a member of One Community Church. She was a special aunt of Junior Stotts of Columbia, KY, and had many relatives in Adair, Cumberland, and Metcalfe Counties of South Central Kentucky as well as in Indiana. She was the widow of Wilbert Stotts. She will be laid to rest in Indiana.

Jessaphine Stotts, 91, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Maple Manor Christian Home.

Funeral service will be held Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10amCT/11amET, at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home, 120 W Maple Street, Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 1pm-7pmCT/2pm-9pmET, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the funeral home.



She worked at the Army Ammunition Plant. Jessaphine was a member of One Community Church. She was a native of Breeding, KY.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her sons: Ronald W. Stotts (Debra) of Lexington, IN; and Gary L. Stotts of Clarksville, IN

  • Half brother: Ronald C. Thurman of Edmonton, KY

  • Two granddaughters: Jaclyn Stotts, and Tammy Corpe

  • Two grandsons Eric Stotts, Rusty Neff

  • Seven great-grandchildren
Jessaphine was preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Stotts; daughter Alma Neff; father Cecil Thurman; and mother Hulda Slaughter.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to One Community Church.
