Larry D. Huckaby, Russell Co., KY (1934-2015)

He was a member of a highly regarded family with strong Russell and Adair County, KY roots. He served in the U.S. Army and was a salesman. His wife, Phyllis Coffey Huckaby survives. He leaves 15 direct living descendants.

Larry D. Huckaby, 80, of Meadow Brooke Drive, Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, November 13, 2015, at 5:55pmET, at the Veterans Administration Center, Lexington, KY.

A Celebration of Life service will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY at 11amCT, Tuesday, November 17, 2015, with Bro. Larry Lee Huckaby officiating. Military honors to follow by the Russell County Honor Squad. Cremation will request will be honored. Visitation is after 5pmCT, Monday, November 16, at the funeral home.

He was born December 30, 1934, in Farmington, IL. He was the son of the late Melvin F. Huckaby and Bessie Opal Conover Huckaby. He died Friday, November 13, 2015, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY. at the age of 80 years, 10 months, and 14 days.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Phylliss Coffey Huckaby, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Toy (Randall) Burton, Russell Springs, KY, and Debbie Huckaby, Florence, KY

  • A son: Larry Lee (Lisa) Huckaby, Russell Springs, KY

  • A brother: Lee Huckaby, Russell Springs, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Three great grandchildren

  • A host of nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Willard Huckaby.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
