Lindsey Wilson's Williamson earns sixth honor

COLUMBIA, KY – For the sixth time this season, John-Paul Williamson is the Mid-South Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Williamson won the 2015 Mid-South Conference Championship on Saturday with a time of 25 minutes and 43 seconds. The senior from Derry, Ireland earned MSC Runner of the Year honors after winning the conference title.

Williamson won his first MSC Championship, while earning First Team All Mid-South Conference honors for the third-straight season.

He is now tied for the program’s all-time lead in career wins with six. He becomes just the second harrier in program history to earn MSC Runner of the Year honors, joining former Blue Raider David Mutuse, who accomplished the task back in 2008.
