Colonel Edward "Doug" Line, age 80, of Crestwood, KY, formerly of Green County, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015, in Louisville, KY.

The funeral services for Colonel Edward "Doug" Line will be conducted at 1pmCT, Tuesday, with burial to follow at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY.. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 9:30amCT until time of the service. There will be full military honors at the gravesite by the Marion County Honor Guard.

He was born April 12, 1935. He died November 8, 2015, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 80 years, six mnths, and 27 days.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Stearman Line of Crestwood, KY, and the following:
  • A daughter: Karen Dean of Munfordville, KY

  • A son & daughter-in-law: Dale & Kathleen Line of Crestwood, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Lauren Dean of Louisville, KY; and Meredith Line and Duncan Line, both of Crestwood, KY

  • A sister: Barbara L. Howenstine of Connecticut

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Family request memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and can be made at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home.
