Seth D. Wade, 87, Taylor Co., KY; Russell Co. native (1928-2015)

He was born in Russell Springs, KY, and was a former resident of Campbellsville, KY prior to his death in Elizabethtown. He was the son of the late James B. Wade and Delsie Foley Wade. His wife of 51 years, Margaret Sue Butler, survives. He leaves close relatives in Adair, Taylor, and Russell Counties of South Central Kentucky. He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of Younger’s Creek Baptist Church. He was a1964 graduate of Campbellsville College and was an artist and art teacher and former owner/operator of Wades Arts and Crafts. His final resting place will be in Campbellsville, KY

Seth D. Wade, 87, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Russell Springs, KY, and Campbellsville, KY, died at 4:06amET, Sunday, November 8, 2015 in Elizabethtown, KY.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Ron Lewis and Rev. Arnold Moon. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 10am-1pmCT/11am-2pmET, Wednesday at the funeral home.

Seth D. Wade was the son of the late James B. Wade and Delsie Foley Wade. He was born January 5, 1928 in Russell County, KY.. He died at Sunday, November 8, 2015 in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and three days.

He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of Younger’s Creek Baptist Church. He was a1964 graduate of Campbellsville College and was an artist and art teacher and former owner/operator of Wades Arts and Crafts.

He united in marriage to Margaret Sue Butler June 27, 1964.

Besides his wife, Margaret Sue Butler Wade of Elizabethtown, he is survived by the following:
  • One brother-in law: William Butler and wife, Louise of Columbia, KY

  • One sister-in-law, Cathy Catron of Knifley, KY

  • Several cousins and many other relatives and friends including his close friends at Younger’s Creek Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers: Garnette Blair, Winfred Wade and Byron Wade.
