Arrest on DUI follows traffic accident Tue 3 Nov 2015

A single vehicle accident late Tuesday evening resulted in an Adair County resident being arrested for DUI.

On 11-03-2015 at 8:16pmCT Deputy Brandon Hitch of the Adair County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a possible injury accident on the Cumberland Parkway between the 40 and 41 mile marker.


35 year old Jonathan Lacy of Columbia was traveling west bound on the Cumberland Parkway when he lost control of his vehicle.

Lacy crossed the median and overturned coming to rest against a rock wall. Lacy refused medical treatment and was then arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol 1st offence aggravated circumstances.

Lacy was a CDL License holder.

Lacy was lodged in the Adair Regional Jail, Columbia, KY.

Deputy Hitch was assisted on scene by Columbia Police.

Arrests are not findings of guilt. An individual charged by police is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
