LWC Veterans Appreciation Luncheon is Thu 12 Nov 2015

12th Consecutive Year for Annual Veterans Day Luncheon

By Duane Bonifer

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College community will hold its annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon beginning at at 11amCT on Thursday, November 12, in Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center, 430 Helen Flatt Drive, Columbia, KY. The luncheon is open to veterans and their spouses or a guest, along with veterans' widows and widowers. There is no charge to attend the luncheon, but guests are asked to RSVP by contacting the LWC Alumni Office at alumni@lindsey.edu or (270) 384-8400.

This is the 12th consecutive year LWC has held the luncheon. Sponsored by the LWC National Alumni Association, it started in 2003 as part of the college's centennial celebrations.

The annual event is not held on Veterans Day so it does not conflict with community celebrations on that day.

"This is always one of the highlights of the school year because the LWC community loves to show its appreciation to those who have served our country," said LWC Vice President for Student Services and Enrollment Management Dean Adams, who is an LWC alumnus. "Whether it was during a time of crisis or during a time of peace, one of the reasons this is a great country is because of the women and men who have unselfishly answered the call to serve our nation."

LWC Veterans Appreciation Luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The luncheon is free to all veterans, veterans' survivors and a guest. Guests should RSVP by contacting Lindsey Wilson at alumni@lindsey.edu or 270-384-8400. Duane Bonifer, Director of Public Relations, Lindsey Wilson College.
