Richard Barnett, Taylor County, KY (1929-2015)

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late William Blain Barnett & Mary Liza Johnson Barnett. His wife, Virginia Pike Barnett, survives. He leaves nine direct living descendants.

Richard Barnett, 86 of Campbellsville, KY died at 8:35 amET, Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, November 2, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. David Wray. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, at the funeral home.



Richard Barnett, Taylor County, KY (1929-2015)

Richard Barnett of Campbellsville, KY was the son of the late William Blain Barnett and Mary Liza Johnson Barnett. He was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, June 11, 1929. He died Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, Kentucky, at the age of 86 years, four months, and 18 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Virginia Pike August 6, 1948.

Besides his wife, Virginia Barnett, he is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Ricky Barnett and Elizabeth Sanders, Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Jeffrey Sanders and wife, Donna, Tammy Sanders Cook and Clint Barnett, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four great-grandchildren: Ashley Sanders, Tori Sanders, MaKenna Cook and Johnna Cook, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister and two brothers: Mary Kathryn Lawson and Leonard Barnett and wife, Jenny, all of Campbellsville, KY; and Ralph Barnett and wife, Dorothy of Mt. Washington, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters: Huley Barnett, James Barnett, Everett Lewis "Dude" Barnett, Owen Thomas Barnett, Velma Christerson, Clara Brown, Mattie Lou Price and Esther Roberts.
