From the Adair County Sheriff's Office

With the help of the community, Adair County Deputy Sheriff Brandon Hitch of the Adair County Sheriff's Office, and District 7 Constable Joe Collins have recovered more than $2400 in stolen property and arrested three persons involved.

On 10-11-2015 Deputy Hitch received a call of a house that had been burglarized at a residence on Walnut Grove Road. After a lengthy investigation by Hitch and Collins, they were able to recover numerous stolen items at three residences and two local businesses.

Some items recovered were a refrigerator, kitchen stove, three window air conditioner units, Eureka vacuum cleaner, Maytag washing machine, Stanley tools, DVD's, and a 60" flat screen TV.

As a result of the investigation, warrants were obtained. Arrested were:
Reese Wren age 44 of Columbia, KY; Christopher Hadley age 21 of Columbia, KY; and Lisa Marie Amedick age 43 also of Columbia, KY.
Wren and Hadley were lodged in the Adair Regional Jail on charges of receiving stolen property under $10,000.00. Amedick was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $500.00 and lodged in the Adair Regional Jail.

During the course of the investigation it was discovered that Reese Wren had an outstanding felony arson warrant out of Gilmer, Texas.

Texas authorities were notified and he will be extradited pending his Adair County charges.
Arrests are not findings of guilt. An individual charged by police is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
