Injury Accident on Hodgenville Road Taylor Co., KY

Hydroplaning a factor in accident

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - (Tue 27 Oct 2015) - The Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Region 2 investigated a single vehicle collision that occurred today at 3:51pmET on Hodgenville Road, 12 miles west of Campbellsville, KY.



19-year-old Kolbey Mount of Crothersville, IN was operating a 2003 Ford traveling westbound on Hodgenville Road. Due to the amount of rainfall, Mount hydroplaned and ran off the roadway striking a drainage tile.

Mount and a passenger, 19-year-old Corey Street, of Crothersville, IN were both wearing seatbelts and were transported to Taylor Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Senior Officer Cundiff is investigating and was assisted at the scene by the Taylor County Sheriff's Department, Fire Department, and EMS.
