Robert (Bob) Hopkins, Casey Co., KY (1927-2015)

He was retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the Liberty First Baptist Church and a United States Navy veteran. He was a native of Crab Orchard, KY, and resident of Nicholasville, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Adrian Hopkins and Mary Wells Pruitt. His wifem Sue Fannin Hopkins, survives. He leaves one direct living descendant, a daughter, Sue Fannin Hopkins

Robert "Bob" Hopkins passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his home in Nicholasville, KY. He was 88.

Graveside services are 3pmCT/4pmET, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Casey County Funeral Honor Guard.

Born May 30, 1927 in Crab Orchard, KY. He was the son of the late Adrian Hopkins and Mary Wells Pruitt. He died Thursday October 22, 2015, in Nicholasville, Jessamine County, KY, at the age of 88 years, four months, and 22 days.

He was retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the Liberty First Baptist Church and a United States Navy veteran. He was an avid history buff. "Bob" loved the outdoors and was a devoted UK basketball fan.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Fannin Hopkins, and the following:
  • A daughter: Bobbi Sue (and Jamie) Morgan of Lexington, KY

  • A grandson: Blake Morgan of Lexington, KY

  • A nephew: Robert Durbin, Jr. of Richmond, KY

  • And sister: Thelma Christopherson of Fairborn, Ohio
