MSC Basketball Pre-season poll: LWC fifth; CU third LOU CUNNINGHAM CLASSIC: The Blue Raider Basketball Team meets Dalton State (GA), 2015 NAIA National Champions, in Campbellsville, KY, at 5pmCT/6pmET, Fri 30 Oct 2015, in Powell Gym, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team has been selected to finish in fifth place in the Mid-South Conference in 2015-16 as the Preseason Coaches' Poll was released by the conference office on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. The Blue Raiders collected 34 total voting points in the poll. Lindsey Wilson posted a 17-13 overall record in 2014-15 with an 8-8 mark in conference play. Their season came to end in the MSC Quarterfinals last year. Pikeville (KY) narrowly edged Georgetown (KY) as the favorite to win the conference in 2015-16. The Bears collected 60 total voting points and four first-place votes while the Tigers grabbed 59 points and also had four first-place votes. Campbellsville (KY) is picked to finish third with 49 voting points and the final first-place vote while Cumberlands (Ky.) was selected fourth with 44 points. Trailing the Blue Raiders in sixth place is Life (GA) with 32 points, Cumberland (TN) at seventh with 20 points, Shawnee State (Ohio) at eighth with 17 points and St. Catharine (KY) with nine points in ninth place.
