James W. Scott, 78, of Loganville, Georgia, formerly of Columbia, KY, died Thursday, October 15, 2015.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 19, 2015 at 10amCT/11amET, in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Yancey officiating. Burial in Corinth Memorial Gardens. Visitation on Sunday, October 18, 2015, from 1pm-3pmCT/2pm-4-pmET and 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-8pmET at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA.

He was the son of the late Vernon and Lula Coffey Scott of Adair County, KY. Mr. Scott was born in Adair County, KY, on June 25, 1937. He died in Loganville, GA, on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 20 days. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Armstrong.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Frances Scott of Loganville, GA

  • Two sons: Phillip (Wanda) Scott, Dwayne (Kathy) Wilson all of Loganville, GA

  • Son-in-law: Bob Armstrong of Loganville, GA

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Seven great-grandchildren

  • Several other relatives and friends in Adair County, KY
