He was a businessman, a native of Jamestown, KY, a resident of Jamestown, KY at the time of his death in Russell Springs, KY, and will be laid to rest in the city of his birth. He was the son of the late Eliza Elmore Polston and the late Jim Polston. His wife, Donna Chapman Polston, survives. He leaves 11 direct living descendants.

Odell Polston, 82, Court View Drive, Jamestown, KY, died at 8:57pmCT, Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service for Odell Polston will be at 11amCT, Friday, October 16, 2015, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Bodie Emerson and Bro. Bill Welker officiating. Burial will be in Murray Cemetery, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the funeral home.

He was born January 10, 1933, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Jim Polston and the late Eliza Elmore Polston. He died Tuesday, October 13, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 82 years, nine months, and three days.

He was a businessman.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Chapman Polston, Jamestown, KY, and the following:
  • A son: Michael Polston, Blanchester, OH

  • Three daughters: Pamela Caldera, Dayton, Ohio; and Jennifer Polston and Natalie Polston, both of Jamestown, KY

  • A brother: Jim Polston, Jamestown, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Davis, and one grandson
