Leslie Malcolm (L.M.) Tooley, Cumberland Co., KY (1947-2015)

He will be laid to rest in ancestral Cumberland County, KY. "L.M.", as he was called by all who knew him, attended LaGrange Middle School and Oldham County High School. He was a hard worker, and "A Jack Of All Trades". Before his retirement, he worked for Scott and Betsy Reagan for over 20 years. L. M. loved everyone he came in contact with. Family was very important to him and he enjoyed always being around them. He was very strong willed, full of fun, and would not hesitate to speak his mind. He was the kind of man who would give you whatever he had. He made the decison to accept Jesus Christ in his heart as his savior in 2013

Leslie Malcolm "L.M." Tooley age 68 of Louisville, Kentucky was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 05, 2015 after a strong battle with several illnesses.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Rev. Nello Holman officiating. Burial will be in Coe Ridge Cemetery. The family requests visitation on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 11amCT until the service time at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Leslie Malcolm (L.M.) Tooley, Cumberland Co., KY (1947-2015)


L.M. was born on June 20, 1947 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of Ray David Tooley and the late Isabelle Winfrey Holman. He died Monday, October 5, 2015, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 68 years, three months, and 15 days.

L.M.,as he was called by all who knew him, attended LaGrange Middle School and Oldham County High School. He was a hard worker, and "A Jack Of All Trades". Before his retirement, he worked for Scott and Betsy Reagan for over 20 years. L. M. loved everyone he came in contact with. Family was very important to him and he enjoyed always being around them. He was very strong willed, full of fun, and would not hesitate to speak his mind. He was the kind of man who would give you whatever he had. He made the decison to accept Jesus Christ in his heart as his savior in 2013.

  • One son: Leslie M. Tooley Jr. of Louisville, KY

  • Two daughters: Tina Tooley and Tranissa Tooley both of Louisville, KY

  • His Father: Ray David Tooley of Louisville, KY

  • The mother of his children: Betty Tooley of Louisville, KY

  • Three brothers: Timmie Tooley, David Tooley, and Jerry Tooley all of Louisville, KY

  • Thirteen Grandchildren: DaVon Tooley, Colette Williams(Lee), Janece and Tanece Carr, Tyrone Tooley, Henry Grady IV, Jeremiah, Jasmine, Makaila, A'Dream Tooley, Shelby Perkins, Jordan Burton, Selena Yunt

  • Seven Great Grandchildren: La'Diamond Stover, Tayvon and Tevin Tooley, Kod'a Fentress, Lee'lah Williams, Lee Roy Williams, Tajh Mcbroom, Jeremiah Tooley Jr.

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
