Injury collision follows hydroplaning in lane change on LBN

Driver of car transported to Russell County Hospital by private car. Volvo semi driver uninjured.

Russell Springs, KY - (Wed 30 Sep 2015) – Tpr. Nick Hale is investigating a collision that occurred today at 2:04pmCT, 1 mile west of Russell Springs, KY, on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.

35-year-old Jennifer Weber, of Russell Springs, was operating a westbound 2006 Ford and overtaking a westbound tractor and trailer that was traveling in the slow lane.



Upon re-entering the lane, Weber's vehicle hydroplaned and struck a guardrail. Weber's vehicle then crossed back into the path of a 2002 Volvo operated by 61-year-old Larry McChesney, of Bowling Green, KY.

Both Driver's were belted at the time of the collision. McChesney was not injured and Weber was transported to the hospital by private vehicle. Tpr. Hale was assisted at the scene by the Russell County Sheriff's Department, EMS and Fire.
